FAQ

If your question has not been answered below, don't hesitate to contact Gallery 79 at info@gallery79-jewellery.com.

When will I receive my order?

My stock is limited. This means that the piece you ordered will be made just for you. It takes time to craft a jewel in precious metals and/or stones from A to Z according to traditional craftsmanship, and especially as a one-person business. It is often very detailed work, so concentration and dedication are required! Depending on the complexity of the piece, other craftsmen or services are needed (as for example gold-plating, engraving, complex stone settings,..) which may also impact the timeline beyond the control of Gallery 79 especially in busy seasons. Your order will be sent to you when it is ready. Depending on the amount of the orders at that time, it may take 4 weeks the soonest to 6 to 8 weeks on average to completion. Of course, I will aim to complete it as soon as it is possible.

Do I have to pay shipping costs?

Shipping costs are included in the total cost of your order and will be charged at check-out. During check-out you will have the possibility of indicating whether you prefer standard shipment or with added guarantee. The option of store pick-up may also be made available and/or free shipping may apply. For more details about how we ship and deliveries, see our Shipping policy.

How can I best measure the size of my bracelets or ring? How do I decide on the length of a necklace?

It is important to take the measurement at the correct side as differences in circumference may occur between left & right forearms, hands or even fingers.

If you already have a ring or full circle bracelet of a desired size, measure the inner-diameter and select the option in the webshop that is closest to your measurement. For rings, an additional ring size chart is made available to aid in your decision.  Alternatively, for rings and (full circle) bracelets, you can take the necessary measurements at home according to the instructions provided on the respective product pages.

We also provide some indications to help you decide on necklace lengths.

If you are still in doubt, you can contact us via info@gallery79-jewellery.com to ensure you indicate the correct size in your order. Alternatively, you can visit Gallery 79 in person to have a quick measurement taken or have  a private shopping appointment to have all your questions answered and try on jewellery (depending on stock availability).

In case you ordered the wrong size, ensure to cancel the order within 14 days after placing the order. For Gallery 79 jewels, we offer maintenance including resizing services (see below). However, depending on the jewel's anatomy, altering the size of a jewel after it has already been made may result in having to start all over again; and exchanges are not guaranteed (see our return and refund policy).

How to best care for my jewel?

Our jewellery is designed for everyday wear, but we recommend removing it during activities like workouts, dishwashing, swimming, or similar tasks to prevent discoloration or scratching over time. Please note that our warranty does not cover changes to the appearance of jewelry caused by wear and tear (refer to our Terms of Service policy for more details).

To keep your jewellery safe when not in use, store it properly. Sterling silver naturally oxidizes when exposed to moisture, sunlight, or air. For optimal care, keep your pieces in their original packaging and store them in a dry environment.

Over time, silver and gold-plated silver may tarnish or lose some of their shine. Use a soft jewellery cloth for gentle polishing as needed. However, frequent polishing can affect the surface, so it should be done sparingly. Avoid storing jewellery in the bathroom or wearing it while applying perfume or cosmetics.

Can I get my jewellery repaired or do you offer maintenance?

We’re committed to ensuring your Gallery79 jewellery stands the test of time. If your piece requires repair, resizing, or maintenance, please reach out to us at info@gallery79-jewellery.com or visit gallery 79 to discuss the possibilities. Please note that we primarily service Gallery 79 creations, as understanding and working with designs made elsewhere can be challenging. If it turns out too risky, we may decline reparations of jewels (made elsewhere).
