FAQ
If your question has not been answered below, don't hesitate to contact Gallery 79 at info@gallery79-jewellery.com.
When will I receive my order?
My stock is limited. This means that the piece you ordered will be made just for you. It takes time to craft a jewel in precious metals and/or stones from A to Z according to traditional craftsmanship, and especially as a one-person business. It is often very detailed work, so concentration and dedication are required! Depending on the complexity of the piece, other craftsmen or services are needed (as for example gold-plating, engraving, complex stone settings,..) which may also impact the timeline beyond the control of Gallery 79 especially in busy seasons. Your order will be sent to you when it is ready. Depending on the amount of the orders at that time, it may take 4 weeks the soonest to 6 to 8 weeks on average to completion. Of course, I will aim to complete it as soon as it is possible.
Do I have to pay shipping costs?
Shipping costs are included in the total cost of your order and will be charged at check-out. During check-out you will have the possibility of indicating whether you prefer standard shipment or with added guarantee. The option of store pick-up may also be made available. For more details about how we ship and deliveries, see our Shipping policy.
How can I best measure the size of my bracelets or ring?
If you do not know the size of a bracelet or ring, your best option would be to go to a jeweller or goldsmith near you and ask to have it measured properly using dedicated ring or bracelet sizing-tools. If you already own a comparable ring or bracelet, you can measure the inner-diameter of the jewel and contact Gallery 79 at info@gallery79-jewellery.com to ensure you indicate the correct size in your order. Alternatively you can follow the guidance on the product page of this website. It is important to take the measurement at the right side as differences in circumference may occur between left & right forearms, hands or even fingers. In case you ordered the wrong size, ensure to cancel the order within 14 days after placing the order. For Gallery 79 jewels, we offer maintenance including resizing services (see below). However, depending on the jewel's anatomy, altering the size of a jewel after it has already been made may result in having to start all over again; and exchanges are not guaranteed (see our return and refund policy).
How to best care for my jewel?
Our jewellery is designed for everyday wear, but we recommend removing it during activities like workouts, dishwashing, swimming, or similar tasks to prevent discoloration or scratching over time. Please note that our warranty does not cover changes to the appearance of jewelry caused by wear and tear (refer to our Terms of Service policy for more details).
To keep your jewellery safe when not in use, store it properly. Sterling silver naturally oxidizes when exposed to moisture, sunlight, or air. For optimal care, keep your pieces in their original packaging and store them in a dry environment.
Over time, silver and gold-plated silver may tarnish or lose some of their shine. Use a soft jewellery cloth for gentle polishing as needed. However, frequent polishing can affect the surface, so it should be done sparingly. Avoid storing jewellery in the bathroom or wearing it while applying perfume or cosmetics.
